Your Castle Rock firefighters put their lives on the line each time they leave their homes and report for duty for one cause – your safety. Every one of Castle Rock’s firefighters has taken an oath to protect our neighbors, even if it means going into harm’s way. We take that oath seriously and work every day to provide you with excellence in public safety.

We’re proud to have the support of the residents we’re sworn to protect and strive to bolster that relationship each and every day. Our association isn’t just proud of the work our firefighters do during their shifts, we’re grateful for the partnership we’ve formed with our wonderful community and look forward to seeing that relationship grow.

Castle Rock’s brave firefighters put their lives on the line every day they show up to their fire stations with a singular mission: your safety. In addition to extinguishing fires, your firefighters respond to car crashes, hazardous materials and technical rescue incidents, and are also trained as paramedics. We continue to put more and more responsibilities on our plate because you deserve nothing less than excellence in public safety.

The safety of Castle Rock’s residents is at risk if more firefighters aren’t put on the street in the coming years. As the town's exponential growth continues and the number of emergency responses skyrocket, your firefighters are working harder than ever to keep up. But without more firefighters to keep our neighbors safe, we could fall behind.

Castle Rock has seen a boom in its population in recent years and that trend shows no signs of slowing up any time soon. From 2016 to 2022, our town’s population has increased by more than 25,000, to almost 80,000. That growth has also correlated with a more than 100 percent increase in our emergency responses.

Our association, Castle Rock Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 4116, supports your firefighters’ mission of keeping you safe through excellence in public safety. We are an organization of firefighters, for firefighters, that promotes a healthy and safe work environment for the men and women who put their lives on the line every day for their neighbors.
