Commitment To Safety

Our commitment to Castle Rock doesn't end when the emergency is over.

Castle Rock firefighters see firsthand how growth, staffing, equipment, emergency response resources, and public policy affect our ability to serve the community. Local 4116 believes part of our responsibility is using that experience to help residents and elected officials understand the public safety needs of a growing Castle Rock.

That means having a voice outside the fire station, too.

Advocating for Castle Rock

Through the Castle Rock Firefighters Political Action Committee, our firefighters engage in the local decisions that affect public safety and the future of the fire service.

Our advocacy is focused on Castle Rock. We evaluate issues and candidates based on their understanding of public safety, their willingness to listen to firefighters, and their commitment to ensuring our community has the people and resources necessary to provide excellent emergency services.

Our members hold a wide range of personal and political views. Our PAC's decisions are not based on political party. They are based on the issues affecting Castle Rock firefighters and the community we serve.

Advocacy That Produces Results

In 2021, the Town of Castle Rock asked residents to consider ballot measures 2A and 2B to address the community's growing needs. Local 4116 supported both measures and ran a campaign to help educate residents about their importance. Measure 2B passed, while 2A did not.

We continued the conversation.

When the Town returned to voters with Ballot Measure 2A in 2024, Local 4116 again supported the effort and helped advocate for its passage. Castle Rock residents approved the measure.

That decision is now translating into real public safety resources for our community, including:

  • Medic 155, expanding emergency medical response capability.

  • Additional firefighters, as Castle Rock continues to grow.

  • Station 156 in the Cobblestone Ranch area, expanding fire and emergency response coverage.

For us, political advocacy isn't about a political party. It's about making sure firefighters have a seat at the table when decisions affecting public safety are made.

Support the Local 4116 Political Action Committee

The Local 4116 Political Action Committee is funded through voluntary contributions.

Those contributions allow Castle Rock firefighters to educate residents, communicate on public safety issues, participate in local elections, and support candidates and initiatives that align with the public safety needs of our community.

When you support our PAC, you help give Castle Rock firefighters a stronger voice in decisions that directly affect the community we serve.

Our priorities remain simple:

Public Safety — Advocate for the staffing, resources, equipment, and infrastructure necessary to serve a growing Castle Rock.

Education — Give residents and elected officials information and perspective from the firefighters who provide emergency services every day.

Accountability — Evaluate issues and elected leaders based on their actions and their commitment to Castle Rock's public safety needs.

Community — Support decisions that strengthen both the fire service and the community we are proud to serve.
