CASTLE ROCK, Colo. — The Castle Rock Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 4116, endorse Laura Cavey for Mayor, Tiffany Coyle for Town Council District 3, and Mitchell Sawin for Town Council District 5.

All candidates expressed support for public safety and the needs of Castle Rock Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 4116, including meaningful collaboration, support for our members, and a reliable Fire Department for the community. We appreciate that shared commitment.

Our endorsements also consider trust, communication, and the relationships needed to work through difficult decisions. Laura Cavey has a proven track record of building trust and a strong working relationship with Local 4116. Our endorsement recognizes that experience and our confidence in continuing that partnership.

We believe Tiffany Coyle and Mitchell Sawin offer the strongest fit in their respective districts to continue an already productive relationship, relate to our members’ experiences, and address our current and future needs through healthy labor-management collaboration.

As Castle Rock grows, we remain focused on maintaining a strong, sustainable fire department. We value leaders who engage and support meaningful dialogue and work collaboratively with our members, Town leadership, and Fire Department leadership.

Our endorsements do not suggest that other candidates oppose our priorities. They reflect our assessment of who will be the most effective partners on fire and labor obstacles.

Ultimately, Castle Rock residents will determine who best represents their community. Regardless of the election results, L4116 is committed to working with those elected to support our firefighters and paramedics and maintain the quality of service our residents deserve.
